Hi Sandy, I just got the pictures yesterday and I LOVE them! The close ups of Rumley and I made me cry and that is very hard to do (with me) with a photograph. Those pictures just perfectly depict the moments that I have alone with him in private and to have that moment captured in a picture is such a treasure. I know down the road when he grows up as a teenager and eventually as a man I will look back at those pictures and cry from pure emotion....

Thank you Sandy so much for the wonderful pictures. I couldn’t believe that every single one you sent including the extra ones we purchased turned out so well. The ones you took as we were just doing regular stuff were so artistic. I have shown them to everyone and they are blown away by your talent. Your flexibility to move up our photo shoot when you had a cancellation was so great for us and we greatly appreciated it. I can’t tell you how great it was that you blocked out the whole day to spend with us incase Ryan didn’t co-operate. Thankfully she was an angel. Having you come to our home was so convenient for us as we were not yet skilled at travelling with such a young baby and remembering everything we may have wanted to use for the photo shoot. I am also grateful to my mother for having the foresight to get me your Zaida Baby book for my baby shower. I only wish I had purchased it myself as soon as I found out I was pregnant so I could document every unique memory your book offers. I’m so glad we chose you to document the first memories of our first baby. I wish you all the best and will recommend you to anyone and everyone I know having a baby or needing a shower gift!

Even though it was my first time meeting Sandy the day she visited my home to take my maternity photographs, it felt like I had a life-time friend over for a visit. In addition to her sincerity and warmth, she made me feel like I was the most beautiful being and that my pregnancy was as important to her as it was to me. Sandy captured moments between me and my unborn child and the photos enabled me to share those moments with others… including my precious son Isaac who is so proud to be “the baby in my belly” in the picture we pass daily, hanging just outside his big-boy room.

Sandy took my maternity photographs in 2004, when I was pregnant with my twins. Pregnancy was a wonderful experience for me and it was very important that I capture this incredible time in my life. In the comfort and privacy of our home, Sandy set up a ‘mini studio’, complete with the soft sounds of Norah Jones, to help my husband and I feel at ease and relaxed. I certainly would not have felt so comfortable taking intimate photos anywhere other than my home. We will treasure our maternity photos forever and I am grateful for Sandy and her warm and friendly personality. She brings a peaceful and calm aura to the setting and I think it really shows in her work.
